Book to Screen

So many moments, each special and unique. From book to movie, scenes can be changed.Favorite moments from the book, translated to the movie. Did they translate well? Let's find out shall we... Edward's walk in in Twilight- I honestly didn't think much about that scene when I first read the book and I think many can agree, but in my case I saw the movie first but that scene was probably overlooked by everyone. When that scene started in the movie, everyone's heart fluttered.Even though you are Team Jacob, you know you were taken aback for at least a second. Seeing Rob Pattinson portraying for the first time made people change their reaction to him about playing Edward. As for me, I fell in love with Edward at that moment. The wedding- I literally remember trying to cry during this scene when I saw it for the first time and I couldn't, mostly because my friends kept staring at me. But then later on when I got the DVD, I couldn't stop crying.Everything about the wedding is absolutely perfect and I couldn't see a flaw or anything missing, maybe the part in the book where Bella sees herself as a bride in the window, but overall I thought the execution of the scene was amazing. Flashbacks of Rose and Jas- In the books I liked Rose's story more than I liked Jas, but in the movie I loved Jas's more than Rose's. I thought Jasper's story had more screen time than Rose's. Overall, I loved Jasper's flashback, again I love the execution and the scenery for the South was great. Newborn battle- I remember watching it and my mouth dropped, I thought it was amazing and kept me on edge, keep in mind that Breaking Dawn Part 2 wasn't even out yet. The only negative about it was I thought it was a bit too long. But I liked it because we didn't get to see that part in the book since Bella wasn't there. The tent scene- Come on, you know you loved this one. This was one of my favorite moments in Eclipse and was excited to see it. I thought it was played perfectly and the tension was there but also the talk between Edward and Jacob that was needed was played well. So credit goes to Rob and Taylor on that one. The baseball scene- A favorite for many and personally my favorite scene from Twilight. Like the walk in, I didn't think much about that scene in the book but I loved it. It looked like a fun scene for the actors to film. The birth scene- No comment, it was just the Breaking Dawn birth scene. Didn't imagine that it was going to be like that. Months going by- FAVORITE SCENE IN NEW MOON! I love this scene, it was perfect, probably my number one. I love how Chris played with this scene it was perfect. I was waiting to see how they would play it and they nailed it. Bella saves Edward- Our favorite female heroine saving our favorite male fictional character. It wasn't at this point I started to love Bella, but we are all thankful that she went to go save Edward, or who knows how the story had gone. Bella lowering her shield- How can this not be your favorite book-to screen moment? How did this scene not make you cry? In the book, this scene was pretty emotional and you know you were wrapping up, but in the movie IT WAS DEFINITELY A WRAP UP! And I would love to thank Bill for that scene because it was truly beautiful for all of the Twilight fans out there.
